Saving energy by means of heat recovery
The used up air discharged from a flat during airing contains a great deal of energy. In winter it is considerably warmer than the outside air and additionally contains steam from which energy can be extracted by means of condensation.
From this observation a simple but at the same time ingenious idea was born. We utilise the energy of the warm, humid air ("exhaust air"), e.g. from the kitchen, bathroom, WC, to preheat the cold "outside air". It is supplied as "supply air" to the common rooms, such as living room, bedrooms and children's rooms. Since the air currents are always separated, heat is exchanged, however without any odours or pollution. In this way, a heat provision level of over 80% is achieved, which reduces the heating costs by up to 70%!
At the same time the formation of moisture and mould is prevented and the building fabric protected!
