Avent R - fresh air unit
The fresh air unit consists mainly of two backward bent fans, two filters and a cross-counter-current heat exchanger of aluminium. The outside air is sucked in by a fan through a filter and the heat exchanger and blown into the rooms as preheated, filtered supply air.
The humid and used up air (exhaust air) from the kitchen, bathroom and WC is also filtered, led through the heat exchanger and blown out of the residential unit to the outside by the second fan. Almost the entire thermal energy of the exhaust air is transferred to the supply air in the heat exchanger. This is done by means of metal plates without any direct contact of the air currents to rule out any pollution of the supply air and hence any risk of undesired transfer of odours, harmful substances and humidity.
It is possible for allergy sufferers to use a more effective fine filter instead of the unit filter included in the scope of delivery.
